As an addendum to the previous post, Aud put on the Nipple Hat and Man Gloves, stood in my doorway and said, "Blog me!"
So I am.

The photo makes it look like the middle of winter. This is because we're all bundled up today. (I am, in fact, wearing that hat as I type this, though I had to abandon the Man Gloves--too big for me.) Despite the fact that it's June, the temperature outside is about 60 degrees today. I checked the forecast. High today? 66. Saturday? 81. Sunday? 90. In theory, as a Colorado native I ought to be used to wildly inconsistent weather, but this still boggles me. I asked Aud, "What's up with that?" And she said, "Welcome to the East Coast, love."
As far as I'm concerned, the East Coast can bugger off. I don't like knowing that this time tomorrow will be hot and sticky as heck. Right now, it's 85 degrees at home, with 17% humidity. I want to be there.

Seriously. We were in Washington D.C. about three weeks ago (I seriously considered e-mailing you beforehand to see if we could plan a visit or something, but our hotel in Virginia was a stinking 8-hour drive away from Sweet Briar) - anyway, we were in D.C., and the weather was fhqwhgads, man. Just like that.
Here in Washington we can rely on the weather to remain consistently drizzly for weeks. *rolls eyes*

Wow, eight hours? Craziness! DC itself is only about a four hour drive from here. I would have loved to see you, though--maybe if you're ever in the area again!
But, seriously, this East Coast thing is crazy go nuts. How did a good Colorado girl end up out here?

Only four hours?! Really? Maybe Mapquest was wrong. At any rate, our days were so packed - we visited every touristy thing there was to be seen: Mount Vernon, the monuments, the Smithsonian, Williamsburg, even the White House. It was awesome, but we came back to the hotel every night for a week at about 10 PM. O.O
Speaking of crazy, I had a dream suggested by your blue felted Greek bag a couple of nights ago. In the dream, I was looking on the web for the pronunciation of "Ti moros ei?". When I clicked on the pronunciation sound-byte, a video of Rush Limbaugh in a recording booth came up, and he bobbed around repeating, "Ti moros ei? Ti moros ei?" until I woke up.

Oh man, that's brilliant! It's so in character for him, too . . . wow.

Hahaha - I know, isn't it perfect? Later that day I related it to my parents (with, of course, the punchline being, "And guess what that phrase means!"), and before I knew it my mom started mentioning to her friends that I dream in Greek.
Thanks to you, I am so a geek now. ^^
